  • Legal advice and assistance to an Australian bank financing a project in the DRC aimed at acquiring the equipment for refurbishing and installing a power consumption prepaid system for state-owned power company in the sector of energy for the amount of US $35 million;
  • Advice and assistance to a mining company in the negotiations with the Société Nationale d’Électricité (“SNEL”) for the conclusion of the financing agreement for the rehabilitation of 3 SNEL hydroelectric power plants (KONI, MWADINGUSHA and NZILO);
  • Advice and Assistance in the drafting of the various Contracts for the implementation of the Rehabilitation Project of the KONI, MWADINGUSHA and NZILO Hydroelectric Power Stations, more specifically the Engineering-Consulting Contract, the Contract for the construction of the power transmission line, the EPCM Contract for the management of the works, the Procedure for the awarding of Contracts, etc.;
  • Advice and assistance in the negotiation and conclusion of agreements for the rehabilitation of the Inga power plants as well as in the sale of electricity supply between a public company and a mining company;
  • Legal advice and assistance to a company from the United Arab Emirates for drafting and negotiating a development, construction and operation contract of a power plant generating 131 328 MW amounting to US $75 million as well as for the sale of electrical power;
  • Legal advice and legal assistance to the Economic Community of the Great Lakes Countries (CEPGL) through the Energy of the Great Lakes “EGL”, and on behalf of the Governments of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda and Burundi for the selection of a promoter for the development, financing and construction of a hydroelectric dam with a capacity of 145 MW on the Ruzizi III river;
  • Legal advice and assistance to a South African bank for financing, in the DRC, a project for the acquisition of equipment, rehabilitation and deployment of an electrical power prepayment system supplied by the power utility (SNEL) amounting to US $35 million for an SPV.
  • Advice and assistance during the conclusion of a contract for the sale of electrical energy between SNEL and a mining company, follow-up of the implementation of the said contract, in particular during discussions on the price of electrical energy;
  • Negotiation for subscription to the power imported from Zambia CEC and ZESCO.
  • Advice and assistance in the incorporation of various subsidiaries of a mining company and obtaining the required approval for operating in the electricity sector;
  • Advice and assistance during the negotiation and conclusion of financing agreements for the rehabilitation of Inga power plant as well as the sales contract of electrical power between the power utility (SNEL) and a Congolese and Zambian mining company.
  • Advice and assistance during the negotiation with CEC and ZESCO for energy inter-connection as part of the implementation of the sales contract of power concluded between the power utility (SNEL) and a mining company.
  • Legal advice and assistance in the Medium-term, to the power utility (SNEL) related to the evaluation of agreements or contracts on the financing for rehabilitation or construction of electrical infrastructures, for the drafting of standard contracts related to the supply of electrical energy, the financing and management of projects for the rehabilitation or construction of electrical infrastructures.
  • Advice and assistance to SNEL in the dispute over the ownership of the hydroelectric plants in South Katanga;
  • Advice and assistance to SNEL in the dispute with Tenke-Fungurume (“TFM”) company on the price of high voltage electricity, and the difference due by TFM.
