Our presence in the former Katanga mining Province, today split into provinces Haut- Katanga, Lualaba, Tanganyika and Haut-Lomami) has been effective since 1st February 2006.
Provinces derived from the former Katanga Province are not only mining focused, but also have a lot of business opportunities in the agricultural sector and in road, social, railway, energetic (electricity) infrastructures and other related to mining exploitation. Altogether, these provinces constitute the platform of exchanges towards Southern and Eastern Africa.
The team in our Lubumbashi office assists clients at the local level and ensures in fact local service to mining operators, their affiliated companies, subcontractors and suppliers. The assistance to clients in their field of activity is an experience confirmed by the success and today justifies the trust that operators put in professional legal services rendered by our law firm.
Lawyers in our Lubumbashi Office are admitted as lawyers to the Lubumbashi local bar. They are mainly involved in matters relating to mining, tax, customs, insurance, transport, environmental and commercial law, corporate law, economic interest groupings, labor and social security law, security law, simplified procedures for recovery and enforcement, as well as legal and administrative litigation and arbitration.
They are empowered to represent clients before ordinary and administrative local courts, without prejudice for them to initiate legal action, with respect to the authorized proceedings, before the Constitutional Court, the State Council and the Court of cassation.
We have offices in The Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa, Lubumbashi and Kolwezi), and soon will be opening additional offices in Johannesburg (South Africa) and Brazzaville (Republic of Congo).
