Mr Trésor Ilunga Tshibamba has been registered with the Bar Association of the Court of Appeal of Central Kongo since 7 August 2014. His national number is 11749. He successively practiced at the Atabakutuba Law Firm, where he was Legal Counsel to the Tax Administration of Kinshasa (the General Directorate of Revenue of Kinshasa, “DGRK”). He then joined Emery Mukendi Wafwana & Associates SPC (“EMW&A, SCP”), an international Law Firm of African origin and Chartered Mining and Quarrying Agent, established in Kinshasa, Lubumbashi and Matadi in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo, in Sandton, South Africa and in New York, USA.
In his professional practice, Mr Trésor Ilunga assists and represents clients in various proceedings before the administrative, civil and commercial Courts of the Democratic Republic of Congo as well as before the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration (“CCJA”) of the Organisation for the Harmonisation of Business Law in Africa (“OHADA”). To this end, he applies for, concludes and settles in the name and on behalf of clients, whether legal or natural persons.
Mr Trésor Ilunga intervenes in matters relating to Tax Law and Business Law, in particular in Mining Law, General Commercial Law, Commercial Company and Economic Interest Grouping Law, Securities Law, Debt Collection and Enforcement Procedures, Labour Law, Land and Real Estate Law, etc.
Mr Trésor Ilunga has issued several legal opinions for the benefit of his clients who have resolved several Business Law issues and published several studies in the fields of Business, Commercial and Tax Laws.
He is currently practising at the Elite Law Firm, professional civil society of Lawyers and Mining and Quarrying Agents under Congolese law, with its main office in Kinshasa, the capital and seat of the institutions of the Central Government of the DRC, as well as secondary offices in Lubumbashi, in the province of Haut-Katanga, and in Kolwezi, in the province of Lualaba.
Mr Trésor Ilunga is also CEO of the LegalRDC Platform, a website dedicated to the publication of legal analyses which provides the legal, accounting and financial professions with the information and documentation they need in the fields of Business and Corporate, Tax, Social, Accounting, Financial and Real Estate Laws.
