Jimmy MAFAMVULA NKELE is a lawyer at the Bar of Kinshasa/Gombe. He has been practicing as a lawyer for more than 15 continuous years. He has a proven experience in the practice of law in the Democratic Republic of Congo, “DRC“.
He practically gives legal advice and represents local and international clients, natural and legal persons under public and private Law in legal matters concerning among others the financial and banking sectors. He has already effectively defended clients, employers or employees in Human Resources Law or Labour and Social Security Law. He is also active in Land and Real Estate Law as well as in Hydrocarbon Law, Environmental Law, Infrastructure Law and Transport Law. His interventions in favour of banks have naturally forged his experience in the field of securities and debt collection.
Passionate about legal literature, he has worked on the presentation without bias of official texts as well as jurisprudence of African high courts, and has elaborated judicial chronicles of the different African States.
He is a practitioner and consultant in Trade and Industry Law (General Trade Law, Corporate Law, and Investment Law), as well as in Philanthropic Law (Non-Governmental Organizations and Non-Profit Associations).
He has represented or assisted parties in proceedings before the Court of Cassation (former Supreme Court of Justice of the DRC) in administrative matters and in other special proceedings before the various Courts of Appeal and Civil, Commercial and Labour Courts. He masters the Community law of the African member states of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law (OHADA), and can represent and assist private and public clients before the CCJA.
He has provided and supervised legal support and defence for major corporations, banks, public and private companies, non-profit associations and national and international non-governmental organizations before the courts.
Since 2018, he laboriously engages in the study and practice of alternative dispute resolution (arbitration, mediation and conciliation). To this end, he participates in international conferences, forums and workshops, particularly on these modes of dispute resolution.
Jimmy MAFAMVULA NKELE has been admitted at the Bar of Kinshasa/Gombe since September 27, 2005.
In his professional practice, he advises, assists and represents public, private, national and international clients in matters related to banking, insurance, investments and trade and industry sectors.
MAFAMVULA also advises, assists and represents clients before the courts and tribunals in matters of the law that deal with civil, commercial and labor law, in administrative litigations before the Council of State as well as in litigation before the Supreme Court of Appeal. He exercises cassation before the Common Court of Justice and Arbitration (CCJA) of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA) in matters relating to the unique acts and regulations of the OHADA.
With a passion for legal literature, he works in presenting official texts and writing judicial chronicles based on judgments and decisions of courts of different African States for the African law Portal, JuriAfrica (www.JuriAfrique.com).
MAFAMVULA holds a bachelor’s degree in Private Judicial Law from the University of Kinshasa. He works in French.
